Schinkel Properties Inc. was founded in 1980 by Bob Schinkel. As a Real Estate Investment development and holding company, it has grown in size over the years it has developed numerous properties throughout Southeastern Manitoba region. The business consists of property management, property development, property ownership, and also operates a hotel.

The property development portion is designed to develop residential and commercial building lots for resale. Some of the more recent developments have been 2 Blumenort residential lot subdivisions, a commercial highway development in Headingley, a 49 lot rural development near Kleefeld, 160 lot cottage development on Lake Manitoba, and several rural residential developments in the R.M. of LaBroquerie.

Future plan developments include a 75 acre residential subdivision in Steinbach in conjunction with other partners. The development portion of Schinkel Properties started with commercial rental properties in Steinbach and grew to condo conversions, apartment construction and commercial condo development as well. As the property portfolio grew it was determined that there was a need to develop the property management arm. This not only serviced the properties owned and developed by Schinkel Properties but also numerous residential condo developments in Steinbach, Niverville and Winnipeg.

Schinkel Properties works closely with the owners of these properties and the goal is to minimize cost while not sacrificing service in order to get the best value for our clients.

Schinkel Properties has also been involved in the development of the Days Inn in Steinbach and co-owner of the Heartland Inn in Winkler.
